A recent Methods & Tools survey wanted to know if organizations were using NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Couchbase, etc) ? The results show that 27% percent of the participants have some applications in production based on NoSQL databases.
This is not too bad for a technology that is relatively new and has been developed to solve specific issues. My opinion is that the adoption of NoSQL databases in software development organizations will increase in the coming years.
